This Off-Grid, Solar-Powered RV Runs Without Fuel Or Charging Stations

Each year, the car market becomes more and more saturated with vehicles that run off clean energy.

Hybrid cars are more popular than ever, and electric charging ports for cars are now a common sight at the side of the road.

But one company has taken clean-energy driving to the next level…

Dethleffs have unveiled their completely solar-powered RV. The Iveco Daily Electric is a motorhome that can take you anywhere – completely for free!

The machine needs no fuel to ride and is powered completely by an extensive amount of solar panels, fitted to the roof and the sides.

This allows the vehicle to produce up to 3,000 watts of energy without a charging point in sight!

Many people have put off the idea of an electric car due to the perceived charging problems. Running out of charge somewhere remote is still a worry, but the Iveco Daily Electric has eliminated this problem altogether.
The model makes use of its size by having a total of 334 square feet of thin-film solar panels fitted to the chassis, to allow for maximum absorption of the suns life-giving rays.

The motorhome is perfect for anyone wishing to live off-grid. Living without a conventional home or utility bills to tie you down is a dream for many. But living off-grid can seem pretty difficult if you are unequipped.

This RV allows you to roam anywhere you like without ever having to worry about stopping to ‘top up’ the fuel gauge.

It is fitted with a 228-Ah sodium-nickel-chloride battery which will allow for 1,500 charges or about 250,000 km. Not only is it great in the eco-friendly stakes, it is a top of the range machine, too.

Allowing for maximum comfort and all the top specs you would expect from a new motorhome. It comes fitted with driver assistance technology, smart windows, and an intelligent heating system.

The van is perfect for those who need a larger vehicle but are put off by the perceived costs of running a bigger machine. It is true than vans this size that run on petrol or diesel can cost a pretty penny to run each month.

Owners of the Iveco Daily Electric will never have to factor in ‘fuel’ in their monthly bills again, and another plus – they can say goodbye to long queues at the gas station.
